Trainings and Courses

Nirantar conducts trainings and courses on wide range of issues related to gender and education. Our trainings are grounded in women's lives and give space to their ways of learning. Activities used in trainings demonstrate principles of an interactive feminist educational pedagogy. In certain areas, Nirantar also follows up trainings with more intensive support to selected organisations.

Nirantar provides training and support in the following areas:

Development of Curriculum and Teaching-learning material development
specially for women and adolescent girls.

Planning and implementation of women's literacy and continuing education programmes
specially for organisations that are launching women's literacy programmes

Training teachers and educationists in non-formal and formal education

to build perspectives on issues of gender, caste, class, sexuality and pedagogy of language, social science and numeracy teaching.

Intensive courses on gender and education

- for students, faculty members and researchers

- for staff members of NGOs and activists working in the area of education and womens empowerment

Rural journalism

to enable grassroots groups to produce their own local newspapers or broadsheets

Perspective building on sexuality

- for adolescents, teachers and others working in the area of Adolescence Education

- for staff members of community-based programmes working wit

Perspective building on Gender

for teachers and educationists, staff members of NGOs, government functionaries etc
