Learning to read and write is difficult, forgetting rather easier. Yet most programmes focus on teaching literacy rather than ensuring that it is sustained. Nirantar thus periodically produces reading material on different themes that can be read directly by newly-literate readers and be used as teaching-learning and training material. These include story compilations and books of general interest.
